A graduate of California State University Long Beach, Giallanza began her career as a catering secretary for the Marriott Corporation. From there, she worked for other well-known hotels such as the Holiday Inn in Torrance, CA and the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach, where she specialized in events pertaining to the Long Beach Grand Prix.
A desire for a change in scenery brought Giallanza to the Sheraton Rancho Cordova Hotel, as Director of Catering for six years, and then in 1996, she began her career with Sun City Roseville's Timber Creek Ballroom. Giallanza, who manages all catering operations, is particularly known for her expertise in theme events, weddings and bar mitzvahs.
Her talent was recognized by the Sacramento Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (N.A.C.E.) who named her Caterer of the Year in 1999 and 2001. She also received the award for Catered Event of the Year for a spectacular wedding reception held at the Timber Creek Ballroom. This national award honors, recognizes and acknowledges superior achievement in the catering profession. Other nominees for this prestigious award were Disney World, Wyndham Bay Resorts, and the Disney Yacht Club. Jenny received this award again in 2003 for a spectacular red themed holiday party for 72 guests titled, "Red Hot Holiday."
Jenny is a 24-year member of N.A.C.E. and currently serves as past President for the Sacramento Chapter. She's also involved with the Association of Wedding Professionals International.
